Giant Faction

What are some ways to raise Giant faction? I am lvl 41 and have been killing wurms in Great Divide. I also did the Orc teeth turn ins for some faction also. What else could I be doing at 40ish to raise faction.

At level 40, you're pretty limited to orc teeth and wurms. Stick with it -- doing this stuff while you're getting xp for it is the way to go.

Aye. Nothing worse than doing faction for hours and hours on end without any reward besides faction itself.

I'm trying to raise faction as well. I hog tailed on a ToV raid, got the hits for a few named dragons, killed some more named dragons in WW with a bunch of Beyond, got the faction hits... and I'm still KoS. Argh. Not to mention I'm also KoS to Dragons now... with four pieces of Runewoven in my bank with gems, waiting to be turned in. :/

runewoven is not a component in quest armor...

Do you mean... uhm.. God it's been way too long.

The stuff you want is dropped across velious... it's called Torn leather I think... God. I don't know.

Anyway - Runewoven (The stuff quested from WyvernFang) Is not what you are looking for.

Yeah, the torn leather crap... for some reason I like to call it runewoven. It's all in my bank and I haven't looked at it since I got it (well, since I got the pieces... er... yeah).

Also, not to derail this thread, but the armour that drops in DN, the torn crap... you turn it plus Waterstones (for Leather) into either a giant, or dragon, and get armor, right? What is this armour called? Anyone have pieces of it in their Wanelo's? I've been trying to get a straight answer, but have yet to come up with one in 10 levels... it's kind of frustrating. I've seen Draconic and Stormbreaker armour before, and I thought those were the two things you hand in for the armour. Apparently this is wrong. Can someone correct me?

torn enchanted leather bp = 3 large waterstones = stormwoven or draconic leather jacket
and so on. Draconic Leather and Stormwoven are what you're looking for. Those eventually upgrade to Ornate by getting bigger gems from deeper in ToV or from SE, and you turn those in with the old piece to get ornate stuff.

Which one's which? I assume Stormwoven is Giant, Draconic Dragon, right?

Thanks for the answer. Clear and concise. Me likies.

I'm not sure if that's sarcastic, but a follow up could be helpful.

the bp takes 3 large gems
the legs, arms, and back slots take 3 regular. There might be one other piece that uses regular gems.
the rest use 3 gem shards.

you turn in the torn enchanted leather armor with the appropriate number of gem types to the dudes behind Rymaz in SK or the Forgers in EToV. You need ally faction.

Once you start raiding SE and NToV, ornate gems drop. You turn in 3 ornate gems to upgrade your draconic/stormwoven bp, 2 ornate gems for the pieces that use normal gems, and just 1 ornate gem for each other piece to upgrade them to ornate. The ornate bp and the ornate legs each have a clicky that varies depending on the faction.

No, that was not sarcasm. Although I am a sarcastic person, I have my serious moments too. :)

I've been told by a few people now, and every time I wound up more confused than I was before. This helped a lot and I'm going to book mark it.

Hunting wyrms and doing the orc teeth are definitely the way to go. About 25-30 orc teeth got my cleric from dubious to indifferent, and then a few hours of wyrm killing got him from indifferent to kindly. My paladin never did the orc tooth quest, but the same amount of time killing wyrms got him from dubious to amiable. You get some heavy dwarf faction in the process, also, if that means anything in WR.

There really isn't any reason for dorf faction, besides being able to run through without getting schmucked. Nothing besides newbie quests.

And for the translocator, that's enough reason for me. :)
