Ghoulish mask should give ultravision?

I've got a Ghoulish Mask, but when I activate it my barbarian is still blind as a bat. Should the skeleton illusion also provide ultravision/infravision, or is its behaviour by design?
 
Skeleton illusion has no ultravision or infravision and never has. I can only assume it's by design.
 
To be fair to her, the necro lich line DOES give vision, but that's because it is built into the spell. The original skeleton illusion that enchanters can cast (and that is on the mask I assume) does not.

You might say that your spell is fairly bare bones!
 
If you want ultravision go back in time and get the dark elf mask =P

Ghoulish mask has ivu, so I'd say thats enough for it.
