Getting patch list (Again)

Dalayan Beginner

1. To make the install process much smoother the first recommended step is to verify you have the Microsoft .Net Framework properly installed on your computer.

1.1, 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 are currently installed on my computer.

YOU MUST INSTALL MINIMUM OF TITANIUM, AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO PATCH!

Titanium installed~

3. Once you have either patched your existing game, or installed Titanium or higher (including all recommended expansions), open your web browser and navigate to the SoD website (http://www.shardsofdalaya.com) and click on the Files link on the left (see image below). Then click on the SoD Patcher link, this will prompt you to download/open the .zip file. Select the open with option and then click the OK button.

Okay, applied the map pack first (over writ all the existing map files with the supplied ones) Then downloaded the patcher.

8. The first time you run this program it will prompt you to locate your Game Installation directory. Follow the same process as you did when you unzipped the SoD files to your Game Installation directory, making sure the the Game folder is highlighted and click the OK button.

Done and done, its not pointing to the Sonah dir but the proper dir! Triple checked.

9. Now you will see the SoD patcher program splash screen. You will need to run this each time you log on to Shards of Dalaya so you can ensure you have the most up to date patch files. Click the Patch and Run button to begin the SoD patch download.

I click 'patch and run' and it just sticks there at 'getting patch list., and does nothing else. I've tried applying the manual patch but it still sticks. I have attempted disabling my windows firewall (just set up windows again, haven't gotten to getting something else yet xD) And my router firewall (just to see what would happen) But no changes. Also disabled any anti virus running.

That is about it! I've reviewed every other help topic to no avail ^^* I hope someone has a suggestion.

If you apply the manual patch you don't need to run the patcher. You can start the game by running "eqgame.exe patchme".

The patcher uses the settings from Internet Explorer's internet options. Try checking the connections tab there, and make sure IE is connecting to the SoD website.

Hmm, I was under impression that you had to run the sodpatcher to run the game! Well.. I don't have an 'eqgame.exe patchme' But I have an eqgame.exe, which when I click it, it says 'please run Everquest.exe'.

Also, IE connects to the SOD website fine.. Any suggestions? I've never had a problem with patching, but I'm pretty sure I applied the full manual patch correctly. I just threw it in the EQ dir and overwrote any files blah blah blah. ^^*

You can always use EQW directly to run EverQuest if needed, however you need to keep up with any patches when the server comes down.
