Getting onto Dragon Faction?

Hello everyone! I am a lowly 33 Enchanter. Just to get that out of the way lol. Anyhow, I have been leveling at the Giant fort gaining massive exp by charming yellow con giants and going on fast paced slaughter sprees. If anyone wants to get in on the fun if they see me on send a tell to yaladwen =)

Grr, i get distraced easilly, so back on topic again I have a few questions:

1) does a charmed mob absorb some of the faction I would get for killing the Giants?
2) About how hard/long is it to get non-kos to dragons?
3) does charm pet take exp away from my killing? A lot? A little? I cant really tell , but I am guessing maybe just a little.
4) Are there quests involved in having faction with either dragons or giants?
5) lastly, is there an easy way to see if I am non kos besides going up to a dragon with /con? Well I guess that is the only way...so I guess then a better question would be what place should I go to to test my faction and explore? Im guessing Wyvernfang coast and trying the wyverns? Or maybe there is another zone with mobs like that? Thanks!

Heres a guide to getting faction. Different mobs give a different amount of points so this isnt how many giants
you need to kill, just how big the faction lvls are.


Ally = +4 1450 to 2500
Warmly = +3 1100 to 1450
Kindly = +2 750 to 1100
Amiable = +1 150 to 750
Indifferent = 0 0 to 150
Apprehensive = -1 0 to -150
Dubious = -2 -150 to -750
Threateningly = -3 -750 to -1100
Ready to Attack = -4 -1100 to -2500

There are 2 different Armorsets, Draconic and Stormforged Armor to be quested with either Giants or Dragons,
you can do the quests starting at level 45 around. You need warmly faction to do them. Both sets of
armor have 2 levels: Basic and Ornate. The Basic set has equal stats no matter what faction you quest it with.
Later on the Ornate-Verson differs, quested with Dragons is more caster and with Giants more melee stats.

To quest the basic armor you need:

Caster
=====
Torn Enchanted Silk Armor (Proper Slot) + 3x Lavastones (shards for bracer, helm, face, boots - Large for Chest - Normal for the rest)

Plate
=====
Aged Runic Plate Armor + 3x Midnight Pearls

Chain
=====
Aged Runic Chain Armor + 3x Gleaming Pearls

Leather
=====
Torn Enchanted Leather Armor + 3x Waterstone

Quest NPC is located in Dragonhorn (West-Wing for Basic, Empress Room for Ornate), 1 for each class.
Gems drop in the most 45 plus zones.
Armor drops in zones like Necropolis, Sirens, Stormkeep, Mielech and others, is NODROP and not Multiquestable.

Draconic Armor and Stormforged can then be upgraded to Ornate, using the armor + Exquisite Gems(?)

Furthermore you can quest a free gate Necklace to Dragonhorn with Lord Za'Yth in West Wastes, just need
Ally faction to Dragons and Hail him, thats all, I heard there is the same available for Giants too. You can
also turn in Giant Heads into him to receive rubies and faction.

If you are interested in the stats of Draconic, just follow the guildlink to our site and browse some of our
higher level members Wanelos, you should find plenty of Draconic there.

To find out your faction one of the easier to reach places is Great Divide, follow the river down to the cave and /con the Wyrms.

I hope that covered some of your questions, for the charm side effects you got to find your answers
from someone else than a troll.

Would be nice if someone could do a post for the giant quests, because i am not all that much into giants yet.

Stormforged Armor is made in the rooms behind Rymaz in Stormkeep.

The Grand Librarian in Storms Eye does the turn in for the Ornate Giant Armor.

kill the wyrms in the cave in GD, or south of the caves (snow wyrms). takes awhile. or group in zones with giant faction mobs.
