General Quest Feedback

I'd like to get feedback from everyone on quests they've done, and whether or not they felt the reward for doing said quest was appropriate. Please post any quest you feel was not appropriate in any way(exp reward, item reward, coin reward, etc) here, and I'll take a look at ways to improve it without breaking the original intent of the quest.

Try to give the exact NPC name which gave out the final reward if possible.

Grobb SK quests

These both take place in Grobb.

Azanth Screechand gives a Corpse Scounger's Pack with instructions to get "Two tongues of Froglock Guards, Scorpion Stingers, Leech Blood, Bone Chips, and Alligator Skins" combine them, and hand the pack back. When this NPC is hailed, he reminds you of what items he is waiting for you to return with. This is very good, it helps me remember what to get.

Sytha Coldwind gives a necromancer "test" quest for SK's. I *believe* she wants a Tiger Skull, Weak Undead Soul, and a Leech Blood handed into her directly. I forgot the exact items, but someone on the quest board here thought this is what was needed, and I definately remember the need for the tiger skull and some sort of essense from a drowned corpse (waterlogged ghoul drops the weak undead soul). I may be missing something, but not sure. As far as I know, there is no way to trigger the quest dialogue again, like with the above quest, to remind you what items you need to return with - it would be an improvement I think to add that in.

Anyway.

I have been unable to find "Leech Blood" needed for either of these quests after hours of killing both the regular and giant leeches. The only blood-like thing that has dropped is "Leech Sucker Ichor" - of which I currently have 11, after I stopped selling them and decided to just start stockpiling them for no apparent reason. I tried using this Ichor in place of Leech Blood in both cases, but it does not work. Either kind of leech is also not very common, compared to the writhing masses of snakes and comparitive horde of low-level wandering forgloks.

I feel these quests are currently broken, the drops are currently broken, the item is improperly flagged, OR the correctly-dropping, correctly-flagged, NPC-accepted item called "Leech Blood" has a rarity that is astronomically inappropriate.

Thank you.

Bard Starfall

I began my Bards starfall for the Mandolin of Harmonious Melodies. I need a harmonious pearl from under the silver crown dock in sea of swords, a broken mandolin from an undead performer in King's pass, and Elephant guts from an elephant in south badlands. I of course had no trouble with picking up the pearl because it is a ground spawn and I was able to take down the Undead performer, which i assumed to be the hard part of the quest, but I cannot seem to get the elephant guts. I was at first under the impression that the guts were a guaranteed drop but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have killed over twenty five elephants, ranging from calfs to adult to corrupted, and I have had no luck. I checked the wiki and it even said it was a guaranteed drop. If it isn't guaranteed I was wondering your view on whether or not it should be. I believe it could be guaranteed without hurting the content of the quest due to the fact that the part in king's pass seems to be the difficult part.

Thank You,

Elephant Guts is supposed to be the hardest part of that quest. It's not a guaranteed drop, whoever told you that was very wrong.

Also, the King's Pass isn't hard at all. You may need a couple friends to go with you to get it depending on level, but that part is a guaranteed drop... No PH and drops it every single time. The elephant guts is the only hard part. If I remember correctly, both times I got the guts were from a corrupted (my mandolin poofed at one point, and I redid the quest). Two datapoints is certainly not statistically meaningful, but...

Thank You I appreciate your help. I was misinformed by the wiki but now that it is all cleared up I can go back to hunting elephants.

As a 44 Necro, I've been happily levelling away in Mielech B. In the process, I came across "An Old Iron Key," associating it with the dead dwarves note I found earlier in the dungeon, I succesfuly located the chest and, expecting a cool new item, opened it. To my surprise, I receieved a bracer worse, by far, than the Wyvernfang Ornate Silk Bracer. This item, Grum's Bangle, has 2 str, 2 stam, and 10 mana. All this at a required level of 35 and as the reward for a rather difficult quest. (in four levels I have only seen one key)

As far as I'm concerned, this is an utterly pathetic quest reward. If it has some other use or may be upgraded through another quest perhaps, then I am mistaken. As it stands however, this quest is desperately in need of an upgrade.
