Hi I just installed the game and patcher. I logged in with the EQW box checked and had no problems except for the fact that it was in windowed mode and I didnt like it. I then unchecked the EQW box and now everytime I log in, I get to the rules screen and when I press enter it just shuts off and goes to desktop. I then re-checked the EQW box so that I could just log in and play and it is doing the same thing when I do that too. Is there anyone that can help? Thanks.

Better late than never I guess...
When you get to the EULA screen (the rules) the default option is -Decline- so when you just hit enter you are basically saying you don't agree to the rules. You can either click on -I Agree- or hit tab, enter.
