Future of Dalaya?

Having been on this server for quite a few months now, I'm wondering where SOD is headed. In my time, which was apparently after some great hush-hush apocalyptic event, I've seen this server make some good advancements as far as overall gameplay and content to the already good SOD world.

However, I'm now wondering where is it headed? I've heard that level increases are doubtful, and I've heard talk about Kunark, but not really much. Basically, I'm just wondering what the devs have to comment on this?

I was thinking about this too, but more in the terms of mudflation (that's the correct term, right?). Obviously as a game progresses fresh content has to be released to keep the top players playing, but I'm kind of dreading the day when NToV is duoable. :(

I'm wondering if we will see any additions of instances like LDoN. Short 20-30min instances. I think it would go well in the lower crowds. How hard would it be to implement? I've been throwing around some great ideas in my head lately while working on my novel.

Before the "apolyptic event" the coming soon section of the main SoD home page was always filled with fun stuff coming up. It gave people a chance to see where the game was going, even if it was 6 months down the road. I think it would be cool if the devs started to use it again. Then again, the devs have also been adding stuff to the game at an incredibly fast rate, so there seems to be something new every week anyways.

What was this apocalyptic event? Is it The Falling?

Once upon a time, way back when I was a wee bard, the world was a grand place to be.

There was happy joyful people killing random things and having a jolly good time. When suddenly, quite unexpectedly, the world changed...

Some call it The Falling, but whatever it was, the entire planet shook, and all were reduced to silence....

Shadow...darkness...evil covered the world.

But a light came on the horizon, rumor that the shadow that had covered the world for so long was lifting.

And what a joy that lifting was, the 'happy joyful people killing random things' began to awake from the shock and aftermath and began being happy joyful and killing random things again.

So hear we are today in the wonderful world of Dalaya, with endless random things to kill and no shadows on the horizon that could even be compared to the evil sorcery of the . . . . APOCALYPTIC EVENT!

I think at least some of the upcoming content is related to the roleplaying story and thus can't be announced as "in the works". I don't know how many of you have traveled to Athica (what was once Felwithe) but it's a nice bit of content even if there's nothing to kill and loot. The expanded treasure maps are fun and supply combat and loot, we've had an entire new zone (Warpstone), and there's probably more coming.
