Freezing up at Login and Zoning in game

I have been playing on WR for a little while now and all of a sudden I am having problems both logging in and zoning.

By freezing at login I mean after I have selected the character that I wish to play and I am logging into the world for the first time.

And as for zoning, it is honestly like I am freezing 75% when I zone. This is my main problem. I cant even shut down the program. I have to manualy shut down my computer.

I just tried changin my ui to the sars4casters ui to see if that would help and it does not. i found that out when i died... but i was able to zone fine a couple times before that happened.

any help please? i love the game!
 
If yoa re behind a linksys router, and have set a static IP on your computer, you'll need to have your computer get its IP automatically from your router. If you are already set up to automatically get it, then try renewing your DHCP. worked for me.
 
I think I am having this same problem. I already have it set up to get an IP automatically, but how do i renew my DHCP? Thanks in advance.

I thought I would clarify, my problem is similar to the orignal poster. However, when my game freezes up I can alt-tab or switch between EQ games (when DCing) or ctrl alt del etc. then close the game, or end task.

Any help would be great , thanks.
