so, i'm pretty sure i heard .net framework in any form is no longer needed with the new patcher but not really sure on it. can any one confirm this? i planned to reformat soon and it'd be cool to not have to download that~ thx

Ya, don't scrap the .net framework if you already have it, some other things will quit working.

Just got a buddy playing SoD, and he is VERY anti-micro$oft. He said the game runs flawlessly under Wine with the new patcher. Not sure which distro he's running.

I have no idea what this has to do with the thread, but this is indeed true. runs flawlessly even in 64-bit, and since wine re-assigns threading anyways, multiprocessing -shouldn't- be a problem in linux either.
