This may not be the right place for this, but what the heck. I am having difficulty getting an avitar that I made to show up under my name. I created it, loaded it to my personal website, and then linked it in the space provided in my user profile, but it still doesn't show up. Any suggestions? I've tripple checked my typing and such, and I know the link is good. Thanks.

Well for starters, its width can be no greater than 150 pixels, the height no greater than 150 pixels, and the file size no more than 29 KB.

If it does fall under all the criteria presented, its possible that your personal site doesn't allow for hotlinking.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it is 103 x 103 pixels, and only 4 KB. I have used my site for linking stuff for years now, so I can't imagine thats the problem. I also tried to use the upload from my computer option, and that didn't work either. Any other ideas?

I messed with it again today, and noticed that my account has html turned off. I went to the FAQs and read that html has to be turned on by an administrator. Could that be the problem?

I recently tried to add a user picture as well, and it hasn't worked for me either.

It's 150x150, 27K, and .jpg format.

Is there any reason this isn't working? i[strike]Should I UL it elsewhere and have the forum copy it from there?[/strike] - I tried an external link, didn't work.

This is the error I get:

Code:
Warning: copy(./images/avatars/61431c42731b27c.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\forums\includes\usercp_avatar.php on line 239

Thanks!

Yep, those are the same error messages I get when I use the "upload an avatar from your machine" option. Really, could the html thing be the problem? Thats about the only thing I can think of... everything else is to required specification.
