I am probably not at the point to be really worried about this sort of thing but I often found it fascinating on live and I'm sure when I get to that point here I will find it just as fascinating.

I was wondering how much mystery there was surrounding the formulas used for the different classes mitigation avoidance etc...

There has always been a complete lack of information from SoE about formulas (most likely due to some sort of obscure "vision" ;) )

I was wondering how much info was shared here, since we don't have a dedicated player base of thousands of people to parse this kind of thing, I was wondering if there was some sort of list of formulaeic differences from live or even if Wiz had any desire to provide a clear cut description of his processes.

If this has been asked before, forgive me, I really don't know how much secrecy there is surrounding this kind of thing here.

And I know that there have been specific bonuses given to monks voidance on this server, but I have no idea what they are. Anything would be good, thanks.

PS- info about atk would be nice too :b. Resists, who knows... I'm sure that after years and years people will parse this stuff but there aren't enough people to do it now :b. Just wondering what we could drag out of the GMs.
 
The only truth about the numbers is they meant jack **** on live. The only numbers that ever meant anything were LEVEL, HP, ATK/DLY, MP. That is why Verent/Sony was so protective of their formulae. All we got out of Veent, when EQ was born, was about how they wanted people to "play the game, not the numbers". Well that was nothing but pious bull**** in all reality. They wouldn't release the formula because stats/resists/AC did absolutely NOTHING except put pretty numbers on your screen and they didnt want people to know this.

Level, HP, and the atk/delay of your weapon was always the most important stats you could have. But here on WR it seems the numbers mean a lot more then they ever did when I played live. Resists especially.

I wouldn't quite go that far. Stats, AC and resists did matter, just that you needed to hit the right soft/hardcaps to see the benefits
