Forming a group - first ruins

I'm looking to join a group tonight 1/9/9 after 8pm to do some killing in the first ruins zone, I heard in some part of the castle is some guy that drops a rather nice 2hander blunt weapon for a monk (even though its heavy). I'd love to obtain this item :)

Anyone thats experienced in this "first ruins, castle" area toss me a private message or shoot me a tell in game.

I also have a level 57 shaman bot account (yes I made one to help me get those darn master headbands and all I can say is life become much easier after having a shammy running behind me) :)
 
You want to venture to FR castle on a lvl57 toon? You are either very brave or very stupid, but I wish you good luck!

Also, 8pm what... times zones are tricky u see ;) I bet 8pm for me comes at least 5-6 hours before yours ;)

It's ok, another nice helper may be the Wiki btw. It contains pretty accurate information on almost every zone there is and it includes information about what kind of levels can go there as well.

It says 60+, but that is just for very early in the zone. Deeper in you WILL want to be lv65 with a bunch of aa's or u'll be torn a new one in seconds.
 
Ya I do use that, and I thought (again being a newbie here) I was in the first ruins when I did a portion of the main quest. I actually was able to fairly handle the part of the main quest myself... (back around level 45ish) so I assumed being level 57 with 28 aa's (close to it now). Id be able to wipe the zone! Looks like the only wiping I would be doing is the group im in at my low level :)
 
The difference between initial upper level and drop off level is painful to discover unprepaired.

Best test: have your healer go afk.. then try to make it down the ledge along the wall.. If you can survive for more than one minute with the trap spawned mobs: you might be able to handle the eventual two pull+... (ok, just joking.. don't try that!)
 
It's feasable with a good enough geared group (if Nuglug had the right friends) he could be dragged along with few issues (staying back from the greatly increased aggro ranges and such) and avoiding that dreaded AoE mob, whos name eludes me, its that somethingsomething Hunter guy i believe. Thats assuming he isn't the mob your looking for!!
 
The main quest leads you to kill the ghosts within the zone to get to a certain ghost to get a certain item. it is at the very beginning and gives a false impression of how the zones difficulty is. Once you start killing the lizard men from the pain mistress (upper part, not lower ones), you see that it gets way harder past the ghosts. If you go deeper you find other mobs that are even harder from a different deity.
