For some reason, sound doesnt work for me

It will work for one time, on a fresh EQ install, after that sound= gone.
I even formatted my computer(for a diffrent reason) and that didnt fix it.
Im using a 2500+ 512 DDR, 8500(yikes), and an abit NF7-S mobo, using the onboard soundstorm.
I cant find to find anyone else with the problem on google :sadf:

Have you made sure that you've got the sound checkbox clicked on in the options menu on the EQ login screen (the place where you set which Luclin models show up, etc)?

I had this problem, make sure sound is on in the options menu. Also exit out of EQ completely and check out the eqclient.ini file to see if it's on in there as well. In the options menu mine was listed as on, but in the ini file it was actually off, so I never got sound.
