Fomelo Totals

I was manually adding up some stats on one of my characters. As I was adding up the AC I realized that the total of the AC of the items didn't match the AC Total listed in the summary at the top of Fomelo.

I'm guessing that this is modified by the defense skill? ...and probably the Energy/Def spec as well.

Is this AC calculation formula made available to players?

Fomelo adds extra AC for Agility and extra Hitpoints for Stamina.

It adds both even when you're "overcap" and it shouldn't be adding either anymore.

It's been like that forever.

Oh, so basically, Fomelo can't be trusted.
Does the client display these correctly? I know it has a few display/calculation problems. At work atm so I don't even know what the client displayes compared to Fomelo.

Are there any formulas available to players to be able to calculate the actual values?

I don't know.

Thade seems to have all kinds of wacky idea's as to what's going on with all of this so I'm just going to wait for him to come post here instead of trying to echo his theory-crafting madness myself.

Over the years I've just always noticed one thing for certain: If I lose AGI or STA on a gear upgrade I will lose AC or HP, even if I am way way way overcap.

out of curiosity what's going on with the whole Sta giving hitpoints overcap.

Do hitpoints work the same way and im just imagining its because of the stamina?

It does seem like Sta makes a difference in your hp on fomelo when it is under 485. I went from a 275hp/50sta breastplate to a 225hp/18sta breastplate which put me slightly under 485 sta and netted a 58hp difference.

I then took off a bunch of gear to put me well below 485 and then took off the 275/50 bp and lost 321 hitpoints.

At the very least, our code counts 1 item AC as 1.57 AC, and the code is what matters.

OK, that's roughly what I had come up with too, but I wasn't sure if that 1.57 was some some sort of multiplier based on other skills like defense and specialization energy/defense. It seems like what you are saying is that you have an item with gives x AC, which is counted as 1.57x AC for AC calculation.

So basically, actual AC is calculated based on a fixed ratio. Other stats/skills don't directly effect AC, but help mitigation in that when you are taking melee damage, that damage is mitigated by your AC and also a combination of other mitigation skills like defense.

Don't remember counts exactly since i havent had a chance to play in forever, but tanks through AAs get a 1.16 modifier or something like that hence the difference. Basically its natural durability and heroic durability.
