Followed sticky EXACTLY numerous times and still gettin 1017

I've followed the 1017 error sticky on the forums exactly.. and tryed numerous times.. and still can't login due to 1017 error... any help?
 
I too have this problem, and I followed it exactly. I've had this problem for months, and just tried reinstalling it all and doing it all over just like it says to. I'm begining to think that it just won't work and it's a useless cause to try because it just isn't going to work.

The test account worked for me. Apparently I'm getting the 1017 because I recreated my account. which became inactive because I hadn't used it since december...

I get the 1017 error when i try to use my own brand new account.
So i tryed the test account and it worked! So what do i need to do next to have my own working account?
 
Ok, I have this to add to this part of the 1017 issue.
I tryed making an account and it didnt work, so i unplugged by computer from the hub and directly into the modem and it worked!!!

Seems like a hub or firewall will give you 1017 error.
 
I tried connecting directly to my sattilite modem and bypassing the hub a month ago when I posted last, and that didn't work. I don't use firewalls, but my modem uses NAT natively, so NAT will be used whether I'm directly connected to the modem directly or to a hub (the hub does not have NAT).

Is there anything that can be done to rid myself of 1017?
