Focus effects and Bards

I'd like to get some feedback if any focus effects work on the bard class's songs. On live they did not (either as overshadowing or just never implemented) I haven't had the oppertunity to test this as I'm still only in my 40's and haven't ran across any items with focus effects. But I know they are out there. Would any of our higher level bards or anyone with experience here on SoD please fill in some information for me.

Focus Effect:
Afflicition Enchance I-VI (Do they effect Bard DoT songs) if not may I ask why?
Range Increment (Do they effect any bard songs as they all have a specific range)
Healing Increment (Do they effect Healing songs - all pulse types)
Damage Increment (We do have a few DD/AE DD songs, but are actually more like DoTs here on SoD due to the changes in bard melodies)
Mana Conservation (Does this work on Charms/AE DDs)

Thanks for any information someone may give, and if this happens to be in the wrong forum please move it. Wasn't sure if this should be in balancing/discussion or not.

I've always wondered if Specialization skills affect bard songs. Energy/Defense for DDs, Focus/Mind for charm, etc.
 
Focus effects do not affect bard songs.

Specializations (focus/mind, etc) do. For instance, my dot's increased in dmg per tick.
 
On Live, Burning Affliction worked with Bard Songs for a little while (Read: not long XD) and then stopped working.

Bards shouldn't get focus effects cause there instuments are focus effects. But we should complain till some bard stacking issues are resolved:)
 
Good point. I don't think Bards really need focus effects. With the melody system on here, I don't think improving cast-time is even close to being a biggy. With instrument mods, no need to have healing and dot focus either - that might make Bards more powerful and more than 10 people might play them. The only focus I could see realistically effecting bards would be the range improvement, but we get an AA that does that don't we?
 
While we're at it here's a dumb kind of question...bards are wis casters in terms of mana pool, right?
