Flickering Video in game.

After usely a logn while my video just starts flickering while in game, i think im gona get sezures from it!
I can alt enter a few times to make it stop for a while and even alt tab. but to make it stop for a longer time i have to friggan switch video modes. ive updated drivers from nvida ive also tryed going back to some older ones. its so damn annoying!
 
i do actuly and ive just only set that after makething this post. Ive only played a little bit sense i did it and about 30seconds from loging in i got the same flickering as useal did my alt enter and fixed it theni swiched to a diff resolution again. i zoned right after that and played for an hr and seemed fine. but the effect seems to still be there, then again i had scrooed up wolf textures till i zoned so i dono if it fixed one problem or didnt do anythign at all.

i may wrong but i noticed the flickering problem with nvidia cards shortly after eq live went to dx9. have this problem with a few different cards "fx5200 mx4" it comes down to the client it self or the drivers arent quite as compatible as they used to be as the game is rather old
 
no problem with geforce 5900 series screen flickering can be caused by processes runing in the background such as internet explore or even stuff in the taskbar or the clock bar. also when you get in game try hiting Alt enter to get into windowed then hit it agian to go full screen and see if the problem still exist
