Fleeing mobs causing headaches

Sometimes in certain zones (Faentharc Geonids, GD Giants), I will encounter mobs that are simply unable to be soloed, not because of their difficulty but because I am unable to root them in place before they flee into walls. I sure it would be a huge workload to get all of the collision into walls fixed, but is it a possibility to just keep mobs from fleeing? I would rather fight them for another 10% than have to wait for them to run back with the possibility of them bringing more along. Thanks.
