Fishing

There really needs to be more options to fishing in the high end. It's really annoying that the only choices at 200 or higher is either zones that can kill you or you have to rely on a wizard to get to. i spent an hour looking for a port to air and still didn't get one because I got tired of trying to find one. One way would be to put a high end skilled fish in an area with a lot of lower skilled fish. That way it will still take awhile cause you are catching all the other stuff while trying to get the skilling fish.

Why is it that this needs to become easier? Just because something can kill you or you need another class to help you out, then this needs to become easier? Many have done it before without any trouble and theres no real reason to make it any easier. I think the two choices already present are more than enough (some tradeskills only have ONE way to advance during certain levels).

I didn't say make it easier i said make more options. Plus fishing is the only trade skill that you can't do on your own in some way.

Fishing is one of two tradeskills that doesnt cost a LOT of cash and that doesnt need a million of farmed things like tailoring, jewlcrafting and alchemy. So I think its good that there is at least something that makes it hard to max out like the need of help from wiz to port for example.

And I'd say that no TS can be made by your own (baking maybe?) since you need LOADS of stuff for the rest of the TS skills and I dont think anyone has farmed all shit needed to max something out by themselfs.

(Fishing and mining is what Im thinking of thats easy and cheap to skill up in might be more..)

You can run to Plane of Torment and you can fish in Western wastes from skill 200-250.
You dont need to even be near Poair.

Also, jewelcrafting requires and enchanter I believe, so that also requires another person. Just because there is one part of the skillup path that is not just go to zone put in line does not mean it should be changed. I would agree that maybe more 250+ trivial fishing spots should be added as an alternative to flooding the market with maps to make cash from the TS, otherwise what is the point if maps are just a bonus and there is only one maybe two real spots to make a worth while profit from fishing? Note: those spots should be somewhere equally difficult to get to and dangerous as PoA.

You can MoP to Western Waste, run NE to and then along the zone wall, and reach fishable water on the north coast safely and quickly.

The problem is I'm sitting with a 215 +6 mod skill and the only 2 places that I can advance to 220 are fished out. Once I can get to 220 at least I can goto WW and finish and actually you can only goto 225 in Torment.

Can't fish torment when people have fishing bots in the zone and keep it fished out. here I am working things on my main so I have to run to get to the zones i need while trying to get xp also. Same time some just parks a bot in the zone I need and on their main type /who all <zone> see that's it's empty (pretty much at the same time I check) and then logs in while I'm stuck running it.

So I'm wondering? Did they nerf tmap fishing? I have a 228 and the +6 mods. I've gone through 23 stacks of bait and not one map.

Although not the norm, I do go through that many on occasion without a map at 250 skill. (I usually take 32 stacks and typically get 1-5 maps.) They're not that common, and like has been said here, you have a better chance at 250.

But I had gotten 4 maps with less bait and a little less skill. i did hear that the fishing rate lately for maps has been reduced to make them harder to get.

I'm at 250+6 fishing but only recently maxed. I've gone through about 120 stacks of bait since being maxed (three backpacks full) and have fished up 2 VE, 4-5 E and 2 mods. I know that the difficulty of map depends on the fishing skill but at max is there a ratio of Tmap difficulty distribution? I guess I'm directing this question toward more seasoned fishers out there. Personally, I'm keeping a bit of a log to compare it the long run, just wondering if anyone else has done something similar and would be willing to share.

As for the post: PoAir is either more dangerous than WW since the wanderer will path over the pool, or you can pledge to the deity and get a gate neck. The pool at the entrance is nearly always fished out anyway. I did nearly all of my 225-250 in WW since you can continuously fish for skill-ups.
