Fishing items

I was fishing and as soon as i saw a fish become effortless if removed my fishing net and spear and the fish was still effortless. +fishing skill items not working correctly or what?

+fishing means you can catch something sooner.

example

you have 65 skill
you have +5 fishing skill
tuna requires 70skill
you catch a tuna

+fishing doesn't do anything with trivials
