Fishing Fun

Alright so I was fishing one day and started thinking to myself... What on earth could be done to make such a repetative task llike clicking a button over and over again more fun for everyone? Mobs of course!! Here's what im proposing:

While fishing in certain zones have there be a chance to fish up a sea creature of some sort (perhaps this could only be done when the skill is mastered, as to prevent people from getting frustrated while just getting skill-ups) This creature's difficulty could vary depending on the zone.

or

Like one of the greatest MMOs, have there be a chance when fishing (with a certain skill level) to fish up a fishing net. When used in certain zones, the fishing net would vanish, and say 3 4 mobs appear. Im not asking for a lot of awesome loot or anything, but maybe a tmap could drop on some rare occasions depending on the difficulty of the mobs.

I suppose that fishing up a fishing net would not be all that much realistic, so maybe it could drop from certain mobs?

I really dont have any idea how difficult something like this would be to code, and I am well aware the server has other things that need to be taken care of first... I just thought this would be a fun way to brighten up such a dull tradeskill.

Thoughts, anyone?

You can already fish Tmaps which certainly spawn 3 or 4 mobs :D

So this would seem redundant.

Also, when I fish I am doing it on a DC'd box, not my main and generally not paying attention. Just clicking a macro now and again. I am fairly certain I am not alone in this....so spawning "sea creatures" on my head would not make me very happy, nor make fishing more interesting. It would just add time getting back to the zone.

If you really want the "thrill" of being mauled by mobs while fishing, go fish in PoT or and punch a rahzak in the nose.

Fishing is a leisurely time sink/waste, same as irl. Please leave it alone.

/agree...i enjoy my leisurely fishing trips...if i wanna fight i group. Tho phatz lewtz do interest me...go go tmaps!
