First suit o armor

Hey everyone, I'm new... and have a question about my toons first armor. Should I save up for some player made entry lvl stuff? or the plate they sell at vendors? My toon is mid teens and a paladin. Or just take up blacksmithing and make the stuff myself.

It's cheaper to save up and buy a suit of player-made Iron Platemail (I know Neiv is constantly trying to sell them off) for around 10pp. The npc-sold stuff is way more expensive, with legs and breastplate costing 6pp each.

You can get a set of player crafted armor for the same or cheaper than purchasing a set of plate from a vendor. There's plenty of good deal to be had by clearing out and up and coming blacksmith's stock. Plus the player crafted comes with stats that plate just doesn't offer.
