FAQ for features?

Is there a place I can find out about all of the new features and changes in EQ and how they apply to SoD? I last played EQ back when Shadows of Luclin just came out, and haven't touched Live since then.

So things like the player group windows, the UI's new setup, alarm clock feature, runestones, and apparently lots of other things are new to me and there are lots of things I don't even know about that I should!

I've read the basic FAQ's and such, but haven't found anything addressing this..

I guess basically I need to know what "patch" SoD correlates to, a changelog for EQ from the beginning to that patch, and a list of what is being used in SoD.

I searched, but couldn't find a "FAQ" like this although I wasn't 100% sure what to search for. Any help would be appreciated. It was very aggravating to play for almost three hours before suddenly discovering there was now a map in EQ!

There are so many things that have been removed, tweaked and added that it'd be a daunting task to create such a list. SoD does not correlate to any clear point in The Game's history: it uses a little of all expansions up to LDoN, mostly in ways different than The Game did, while removing some aspects and adding stuff that were never in The Game.

Honestly, your best bet is to read the forums/wiki, play and tackle new things as you run into them.

Heh, that was what I was afraid of, however I can easily see how impossible a changelog would be.

Ok, well, I guess I'll just have to take the old fashioned newbie route and either find out the hard way or beat everybody over the head with questions.. lol.

Thanks anyway!

You know, I've been thinking about starting a thread like this... maybe I should do it on the Wiki. Then again, it is kind of fun to discover it all yourself, so why deprive others of that joy?!
