Fame Point Race Change Questions

I noticed that with 1500 fame points, I can petition to have my race changed... Nice. However, I have a few questions that I can't seem to get answered on the wiki or in game.

1. If I, a Wood Elf Bard, were to have a race change to Ogre, making me naturally an Ogre Bard, does this change my base racial stats from a Wood Elf to Ogre? Like would I be a strong but stupid Ogre Bard, or would I still obtain the nimble and clever attributes of a Wood Elf, yet look like an Ogre?

2. If I were to use the same scenario as above, would I have to find armor that is usable by first BRD and secondly OGR/ALL or would my toon actually retain the attribute and racial status/tag as a Wood Elf and be able to still use WE stuff for elvish bards only? Basically, I'll look like an Ogre, but will I really be an Ogre or a Wood Elf?

3. Does the race change automatically cause any KoS race-faction changes or do people still know/remember me for the deeds I've already done no matter what my appearance?

If someone could answer me these questions I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
 
For 1 and 2, you are actually an Ogre, you have the same racial qualities as an ogre, however I think that the creation point stats are not changed. Either way, the racial benefits mentioned in the Tome of Knowledge would be the ogre ones and not the wood elf ones. As far as armor, you would need to have Ogre/ALL usable armor, fortunately I believe most armor is ALL for race.

I am guessing your factions would not change. Anyway, someone like Felyn or one of the other people that have gotten race changes can fill you in with more certainty.

I can't find a log of it, but I seem to remember that during the first race change lottery drawing Wiz said that base stats and base faction levels would be changed.
 
Base stats were not changed, at least with mine. I have not noticed any faction changes either, but what NPCs start KOS to iksars on SoD?
 
Stats are retained but base faction modifiers do change. In SoD most of these are based on class though

My Erudite Necro was KoS with Halas from the get go. So I suspect this has more to do with the "Anti-natural" nature of Necs and SHDs then being a racial aspect.
