This tunic has a spellshield proc but I cant seem to get it to proc on me

is there some secret I dont know about??

I just logged on kiseble and beat his ass for about 30 minutes and dropped every spell shadowknights get on him and had zero procs occur =(

I literally just logged in 3 seconds ago and casted all my spears and lifetaps on kiseble, its not proccing at all unless it only goes off from npc casting or something. I even procced a bunch of nasty crit tuors on him.
