Faction with Bazaar Merchants...

well i was playin all dandy til lvl 35 with an Ogre BST...trading and selling in bazaar with people and merchants...when one day i try to sell something to a merchant and he says i will not deal with one such as you or something like that. I know i must have done somthing with the faction....but i didnt kill ne thing but a few frogloks-which i dont think did it :\

i read some other threads about faction with these merchants and how u cant raise it...but that would really be cool if i could fix this problem :)

so i guess it is the frogloks that did it...man i regret ever killing them :(
is there ne way for me to get better master faction by ne chance?
 
Well, I dont think there is a way and I hope they put something in to fix it. THere are a few ways to mess up your Master faction without doing something stupid like killing the merchants in bazaar, and with no way that anyone seems to know to fix it, seems just a tad unfair.

Some mistake or one time not paying attention to a faction message shouldnt make it set in stone that you can no longer bank or use nexus and bazaar.

my faction is fine, but I'm agreeing with above two posters

having a character with broken nex/baz faction is pretty much same as being flagged PvP
need to have at least some way of raising it
 
The way I see it, the soulless ones shouldn't be on same faction as something that can be decreased by killing frogloks, however losing faction with the merchants in bazaar doesn't prevent you from doing anything that you can't do other places (or log an alt in to do for you).
 
you can also lose faction with nexus/bazaar, simply by killing certain shades in akheva :roll: . A way to improve nexus/bazaar faction would be really nice, since it's effectively the hub of wr, and being KoS there is a real pain in the butt.
 
Well, no response in awhile so just wanted to ask, what is the reason that no one of authority thinks there should be a way to fix this faction? I can understand realism and all that, but this is after all a game, and making a single mistake "permanent" seems harsh. Discouraging people from killing bazaar mobs or killing quest mobs, fine, but I dont think that if something gets added to fix this faction that we will then suddenly have xp groups in the bazaar.
 
Seems like the easiest solution would be to change the factions. Either make it so those frogloks and shades are not on Master faction or change the vendors to be Merchant faction.

At least this way, some idiot who kills the merchants will suffer horribly, and know what they are getting into for killing them at least. Every now and then I kill somthing I didnt know was master faction and lose some...one day if this keeps up I wont be able to do stuff in those zones and there will be no way to fix it =/

I don't think a "merchant" faction is a good idea. Even though I'm new to the server, I'm not familiar with all the factions. But I think it would be a general principle, say, you killed lots of people in Erudin. So you wouldn't be able to deal with the merchants of Erudin.

But maybe I haven't progressed far enough into the game, how do the Frogloks relate to the "master" faction (which I'm assuming is the Soulless ones in the Luclin/Bazaar/Nexus area)
 
My feeling is that merchants should be on a "Nexus Inhabitants" or "Erudin Townfolk" faction. Each town should have guard faction, merchant faction, and clergy faction each with different hits and such. Thurg is already somewhat this way as I am Ally to the guard factions, and still KOS to the priest of shojar heh.
 
Any official word on this subject? even possibly a list of mobs around Dalaya while far removed from nex/bazaar, can still give you the same faction hits?
