Faction problem

I just wanted to say thanks for the help on the newport ring 2 quest because of that little problem of the bag rotting. But I have another problem :( Ever since I was a lvl 1 necro I worked on improving my faction in newport. It is a known fact we necros start at dubious so we are unable to sell to newport merchants. So I worked on turning in sewer rathoods, giant beetle legs, and rat tails. After turning in over 200 of any of the following, my necro remained at Dubious but i thought that was normal. Then later on after turning in around 100 newport bounty tokens i still remained dubious. Finally after turning in a few major bounties and finishing newport ring 1 did i attain apprehensive. To my dismay after finishing newport ring 2 I dropped back down to dubious. I have asked many people in the game and they said this was odd so i should petition but after reading the petition rules i wasnt sure if it was supposed to be petitioned so I will post here. Some final things, I've never killed anything or done anything to lower my newport faction and I have never stood near someone killinng a newport guard.. I dunno if i lose faction that way but just in case I've made sure to zone away after seeing someone attacking a newport guard.

There are some faction bugs right now due to recent changes of dark elf classes being moved around to new starting cities.
 
Another question about faction:

Is there a possibility to repair faction hits with Newport Guards Except the tokens and the Ring quests?

Since I started the Grobb Port Neck I dropped to threatheningly with them what is at least kos.
I think with being kos to them I can't fullfill any more Ring Quests and I also assume that I can't turn in any more bounty tokens because they would kill me on sight before I can get to them.

Will I need some enchanter to turn in tons of tokens to repair the faction or do I need to live without more then Ring II?
 
more faction issues

Not sure if this should go here, the faction thread I know is some where on the forums, but as my interests are quests I'll start here.

The situation - have gone from indifferent to aprehensive in the euridin pally guild which has killed my doing any of the quests there.
1. I had already done the first stage < turning in the bone ships>, have the skull for stage 2 but can only get welcome to the temple wanderer as the response.
2. tried doing newbie turn ins to get faction back , except that I am maxed out on them and have no recourse that I can find to raise faction higher
3. maxed out in salathi mari <sp> but can not get any of the class quests there either ;(

Possible solutions

1. restore faction benifits for killing enemy mobs - I know there is an issue here that we would end up with high levels factioning, and I don't know how the scripts work, but maybe you can set the faction hit to correspond to mob difficulty i.e. green con = min faction hit / red con = max faction hit

2. come to think of it, I don't recall seeing faction hits for some of the class factions on the turn ins < i.e. + ed defenders, + ed citizens> are the guilds on a seperate faction and if so what about the possability of adding them to the faction hits

3. I don't propose lifting the cap on turn ins quiet frankly it's a good idea, after all how much reputation can you build for turning in ratman hoods, but what about the possability of more specific faction quests?


Please don't take this as a rant, it's not intended to be. Frankly I love the server and have practically resigned as lead designer and gm of a NWN server to spend more of my free time here.

But from the rp aspect of a paladin player, quests are a big part of my playing. after all How can you be a renown knight of the realm if all you do is xp grind :D
