Faction Issue

I have encountered a serious faction problem that I cannot think of a reason for, and worse, cannot find any solution.

Apparently, somehow, I have become KOS to the centaurs in Centaur Hills. I do not know how this is possible as I have never engaged, much less killed, any centaurs. Nor does anyone else have access to my account. Infact, the only encounter of any sort I have ever had with centaurs was completeing the Darkwood Long Bow quest, which awarded me with + Centaur Survivor faction.

I am hoping a GM, Dev, or fellow player who may have experienced a similar problem can ofer me help or a solution, as this problem has rendered me unable to complete the Main Quest.

The same thing happened to two druids in my guild, both one day went KoS to guards in Erudin.

The issue was dropped because there was no proof of them not killing guards.
 
My druid is also kos to the Centaurs, but apparently only became after she had already finished that part of the MQ. The reason behind it remains unknown to me, since I really don't recall killing anything anywhere near that zone at level 65.

I did not realize that, and I appriciate the attention. That said, when I said "respond" perhaps I should have said "help resolve". I am really enjoying my time on this server, and am a huge quester. Not being able to pursue the Main Quest due to something entirely beyond my control at has been very disheartening. If patience is what is required, I can do that, but I would love it if I could be provided with some sort of solution be it something I can do myself, or something that they can do to fix the problem for me.
 
Invis works, if you are refering to the part of the MQ where you have to talk to Helliron of the Plains... or at least, it did on my friends necro a month or two ago (he was also KoS to Centaurs).
 
I was talking from my player, not GM perspective, though ;)

And yes, Brego is right, invis still works.
 
On a similar note, I am KOS after accidentally killing a centaur or two awhile back. Now that I am working on my Silver Crown faction, I don't see any way of raising my faction with the centaurs. I've tried killing gnolls like the wiki said, but that wouldn't raise faction for me. Are there any creatures in game that I can kill to raise centaur faction?

I am still not sure how to accidentally kill things, I mean if they are not kos and you don't attack / nuke them they tend to stay alive.

Oh common now! Everyone has ran around with auto attack on before ! :haw:
 
Yeah, 'accidentally' killing something that is high level enough not to be one shotted by auto attack generally translates to 'i killed it for fun i didnt know that faction was important help'

IIRC, I believe it happened while I was hunting Corrupted Centaur's in WBL for the Newport Ring quest; in my overexuberance at seeing another centaur pop, I targeted him and dotted him before realizing he wasn't corrupted. Needless to say, the DoT took care of him. Now whether or not that speaks poorly of my mental capacity :psyduck:, so be it, it happened. Regardless of the exact situation, I wasn't killing centaurs "for fun" as I've known since early on that I would be going Silver Crown faction and that I shouldn't be killing centaurs.

I'm not looking for a "zomg reset my faction plz thx!" but as it stands right now, there does not seem to be any method in game of repairing this faction. Could a positive faction hit to Centaur faction possibly be restored to the killing of gnolls? If you're worried about people slaughtering gnolls so they don't need to get Centaur Manes for the SC quest, this issue could be solved by capping the faction gained in this way at just above KOS.

Centaur faction could be improved by killing gnolls in BB, but this is broken for some time now.
