Faction changes/faction bugged?

Last night I was in north dhk. I started the night ally to giants. We killed a ton of dragons. I got some marvelous waterstones. Today I went to storm's eye to get some ornate armor and am indifferent to giants. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks.
 
There's a bug with alliance spells where you can lose all your faction if you go LD or /q out after using them, just discovered it last night.
 
Wiz I am a monk. I didn't use any spells at all. Last night I was consistently getting the positive/negative faction statements and know I went to bed ally with giants. Thanks for your attention.

No ambassador's writ?
 
Nope, no nothing and I didn't need anything as I was ally. The same happened with my shaman who was ally with dragons yesterday. He is indifferent. So negative faction stays kos and ally faction reset to indifferent.
 
Same thing happened to me to on both my 65 characters.
I was Max Ally with Giants for the last month then last night when i went to turn in gems and Stormforged Armor i was indifferent to giants.
There must be some kind of bug with giant faction. ;(
 
It is not just giants as one of my toons was ally with giants and one with dragons. Both have moved down to indifferent. However both are still kos to the other faction. I would appreciate some response to this issue. I realize that it only affects higher level characters and I can live with it although I wish I had had one days warning at least as I was debating over which pieces of ornate to get. There was a message today to the effect that "your faction can no longer be raised" by just killing mobs but I don't see why faction was not just reset but lowered on one side and not the other.
 
I don't know if this applies, but i spent 2 yellows at 50, ALL of 51, and 1 yellow at 52 killing light blue cave wyrms PLUS leeched from lvl 65s pulling darn near the entire wyrm caves in GD multiple times (at least x10 pulls with 15-20 wyrms per pull) and I'm STILL scowling to stormhammer faction. I was rock bottom KOS (from hunting in 20s) but this seems excessively difficult to fix. I'm not looking to get ally w/ stormhammer from killing wyrms, but at least non-kos.
 
Was in DHK 4-5 hours last night kill repops and a few named and was still KOS to giants. I know it can take a bit to get out of max kos but I would think I would've made it a step up in that time.
 
The amount of time it takes to get out of scowling is not my point. I know that takes forever. However, both of my characters were ally two days ago and now without killing a single mob from the ally side, are indifferent.
 
I had turning in 15 bloody scales and gotten to the point where I could do a turn in for the Stormforged tunic after a click of my Eyepatch of Benevolance. I then proceded to Storms Eye but after a click I find tha GLib is immune to this effect?!? No /q or LD. I return to Newport to tend to my vendor and log for the nite. I go back to DHK the next night for a couple more scales only to find myself indifferent again when I arrive at Enforcer for turnin. Same bug?
 
Wasn't trying to derail your thread; I was just wondering if the loss of ally faction you experienced was related to the lack of faction gain I experienced. But my difficulties may be by design.
 
I was so max ally with Giants that Rybane was becoming worried about his throne. I've probably turned in 30-40 scales since I hit max ally. Very short trip into DHk today, killed a few mobs, I'm now indiff.

Moral of the story: if you are ally to either giants or dragons and wish to STAY that way, don't kill anything on the opposing faction.
 
The issue has been found, it will be patched tonight. Please avoid killing opposing mobs to not have this happen, and petition for a GM to fix it if you've lost your faction (AFTER the patch).
