Expansions?

Is SoD going to be releasing anything like new like new zones opened with like stuff like they do on live like new zones new loot new functions. Or is it going to stay the same how it is for ever? I just think it would be cool to have updates like live introduced the flagging system which is pretty cool cause then you actualy have to work to get cool stuff I know this isnt live so please dont flame that at me lol I was just wandering how this server will be like in the future.
 
Zones will probably be added as see fit. They will probably be introduced as the story line progresses, this will NOT be another EQLive where one expansion adds like another 60 zones without any lore to them.
 
There will be expansions at some point. Every once in a while Wiz gets insomnia or insanity or just runs out of RL stuff to do and designs a new zone.
There are tell tale signs when a new zone is about to be completed. For example, when Wiz made the mielech zones all he could do was ramble about how big guk was and now many different ways he could say 'a froglok that hates you' and so on. I think we should pass around a petition for Wiz to design a zone around Runnyeye-that would be his favorite zone to design, I'm sure. (please don't, he may as me to do it)

Seriously though, there will be new zones and content at some point. Right now, the quest designers are doing a hellova job filling up the zones we already have with good content.

New zones can be created. However, from what I hear, the process is a little slow. The most likely expansion you will see will be existing everquest zones made available through storyline or the like.
 
Yea I wasnt really looking for like new zones made or anything I was just wandering like ading other zones in that already exist but making them like raiding zones kind of like the planes in live type a thing like add CoM as example and have like 2 named in there and a raid mob in the back castle thing to add more loot to the game so people can progress further.
 
I said Runnyeye because I know Wiz would never tackle that zone-it is among the more complicated zones that exist. Also, I think the rest of Kunark is slated to be the Lands of Kaezul-they will come, but all at once.

Several PoP planes are not yet in use but have been patched at one time or another. I'd expect them or Faski Malath, personally. WHEN I would expect them is "not anytime soon". There's my educated guesses...
 
Content aside, our client version is locked because upgrading is plain too much work, so we won't be having a client update ever in all likelihood.

As for content, it's always being produced, but there's a variety of bugs that really need squashing and balancing that needs to be done.
