Exodus

Why doesn't Exodus clear agro? I thought I remember seeing something that it's supposed to, but searching "exodus" results in quite a bit of garbage and I didn't look past the first page of results.

Basically, as it is now it's practically worthless. I use it mostly to zip across zones once an hour. If shit really hits the fan and you exodus, unless it's right by a zone line and even then you gotta be damn quick to zone, you're going to get summoned back to where ever you were. It's pretty lame.

Exodus clears aggro, with the exception of AA exodus.

Be aware though that if you have anything still on the mob - rain, pet, debuff, dot, whatever really, you get instantly reapplied to the aggro list.

The AA is what I was referring to. Druid's "Succor" spell does not clear agro and exodus is supposed to be an instant cast of that spell.

If the wizard version clears agro, why doesn't the druid? And if the AA is an instant cast of the spell, why wouldn't that clear agro? I think it should!

I thought they all cleared agro, just that tons of things will reapply it. As a wizard, non meele pet, and just nuke dps, It usually works successfully for me, but other group members often get summoned back and raped.

Succor does clear aggro. Druid pet dot is a big culprit for getting summoned back, though. You just have to plan out your evac somewhat, kill your pet etc

I ran up to a patroller in Field of Bone, engaged with melee, and immediately succored. I got the message that I was no longer in combat, but then the bastard found me at the evac spot and chained summoned me to my death. That could be a special case with the scripting of the patrollers, but I had no dot, no pet, nothing on the mob. I'll fiddle around with it some more, but I've had issues of agro not being cleared with any of the evac spells. It's possible I've always had something that put me back on the agro list, though.

I think the agro wipe should completely take you off the list, regardless of dots/pets/whatever for everyone in the party. If you succor/evacuate to another zone you're effectively out of danger. The same should be for the in zone version. That's the point of the spell, is it not? Having members of your party, or yourself in the druid's case, summoned back to the area you just left defeats the purpose of using the spell.

But if succor and evacuate are intended to clear agro, why doesn't the AA Exodus, which is an instant cast of those spells, clear agro as well?
