Everquest has determined client stopped error at Char Creat

I've downloaded and installed everything multiple times and am able to log in and create a character. When done I get a window that states "Everquest has determined that your client may be down". Any ideas? Eqgame.exe is running at this point.
 
Though I'm sure you probably did, I gotta ask for completeness. Did you patch EQ to current with SoE's patcher before you did everything with WR?
