erudnext_1.txt freezing patch

Ok,

I've tried deleting the file, creating a blank file, downloading the file from vidiotmaps.com and re-patching to live. Either way, every time I try to patch SoD I freeze at that file, "erudnext_1.txt" and can't get past it. Any other ideas out there? I haven't seen any other posts about this issue, so if it's isolated hopefully I'm just missing something simple.

well I got around it by downloading the manual patch files I found links for in another post. Still can't use the patcher, but I can get into game using "patchme" script on my shortcut.
