Hokay.. So, I've tried both the forum's installation guide and the site's installation guide, and both of them gimme problems.
I start up the patcher. I click Patch and Run. I click Start Game. The game is starting up, then crashes with this error.
"Error!
Error opening unpacked file system (squares, random letters, symbols)!"
I have looked this up with the search engine, and though there were many topics about it, none had any definitive answers. The most commonly stated fix was to use Titanium. I have these expansions:
Planes of Power, Ruins of Kunark, Scars of Veilous, Shadows of Luclin, Gates of Discord, Lost Dungeons of Norrath, Legacy of Ykesha.
I don't believe in the Titanium fix though because when I was reading the threads I found in the search engine, someone said they had the problem and had Titanium.
I have tried restarting my computer, redownloading the sodpatcher, starting up directly through eqw.exe, and starting up Game normally, none of which works. I have Windows XP.
Can anyone please help?
EDITED: I got Everquest Titanium and it works... so I guess thats the fix..
