error opening packed file system

[Beywulf]

When I attempt of run the game through the patcher, It pulls up a window which I assume is supposed to be the game loading, but I get a error message saying "Error opening packed file system" followed by what looks like Chinese of Japanese characters. I honestly have no idea what to do to start to remedy this situation, anyone have a similar issue or know a solution. I am running on Windows XP system if that helps.

Found this in another thread which suggested that I am not pointed at eggame.exe, but I am so anyone have any other ideas?

Try downloading the patcher again. If that doesn't help, try reinstalling.
