error opening filed packed system

i just installed everquest evolution and used the patcher to get all the new files now i get an error that says error opening file packed system. Could someone tell me where i could start with this problem? thanks in advance!
 
Could someone tell me where you get this error? If it's on EQLive patcher, perhaps you search their forums, instead?
 
First time post, here.

I believe without having an EQ account to download the Expansions up to GoD you'll be unable to play, currently.

I know it says the Minimum is Evolution (Which I have with the LoD Expansion). I've installed both and patched according to the First Install guide (as best I could).

The patcher opens for SoD and after it patches it brings you to the EQW Beta 2.35a window.

Whether using EQW or not the same 'error' occurs. After clicking "StartEQ" is when this error occurs after another EQW Beta 2.35a window opens (Obviously trying to start the game.)

Without EQW it simply goes from the patcher straight to the 'game'. But, the game never executes (though looks as if it will go into Full Screen.) Before getting to full screen the same error pops up.

The error is as described. "Error opening packed file system (<Differentlanguage>)!" The <differentlanguage> appears to be Japanese characters (or something close.)

Hope this helps you guys. Doesn't look like I'll be playing anytime soon unless I can find an account to use or re-activate mine. (or buying the expansion.) I'll check back on this post to see if it helped or not. Sorry if it's bad news.
 
Hmm, it's possible evolution won't work because its missing some more recently patched files. I'll have to test and see.
 
I am getting this very same issue with Game Evolution as well. I've already tried re-patching with SoD Patcher with no luck.
 
Just joined recently and trying to install everything myself. After trying to troubleshoot not being able to load eqw.dll I loaded Evolution, then loaded the LDoN and GoD cds I had and patched live. After all of that I received this same error, almost letting me get to the beta 2.35a window before popping up.

Not sure where the problem lies, since I remember my station account and password, so it lets me patch at least. If there's been any new information picked up on this topic, help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm receiving the exact same error, has anyone actually managed to find out what this is getting caused by? I installed (some of this was in the evolution bundle)

I have the .net 1.1 that everyone is linking to.
I have even patched to current with a live account.

Things iv noticed: When I patch to current and I then use the SOD patcher to log in (without repatching with SOD) it takes me to the official live log in (which is expected), So I then repatch-all with the SODpatcher and then hit the patch/play button I get the "Error opening packed file system (<Differentlanguage>)!" error box.

Exactly as mentioned, buy titanium, it solved the problem. It must include some files that arn't available with the eqlive patcher unless you have bought some of the most recent expantions.

Solution really is just get Titanium.
