"Error" Message

Hello all,

I've searched through dozens of thread and could not find any information about my specific problem, so here goes.

I used the "How to Setup Shards of Dalaya (Fresh Install) - Somewhat revised" thread to set up my game. I'm using Windows XP, NVidia 5200 card, and installed the game using EverQuest Titanium. I did not patch from the official game, just used the SoD patcher, as the thread specified.

When I double click the SoD icon, it will load the patcher, patch the game, and go to the log in windows. It seems that after selecting PLAY at server select, I get a small error window on my desktop. The window itself says nothing but "Error". No indication of what the error is, just "Error." I only get the option to press OK. The game still runs fine, just this window pops up with no explanation as to why there's an error.

I checked the Technical support thread and everyone listed error numbers with their errors, but this one doesn't seem to have an error number. I checked the dbg.txt file, and I read the entire page, which only listed information from playing today, but nothing there indicated any error that I could see.

I'm absolutely stumped as to why there'd be an error. I followed the directions from the thread carefully for installation. My game play doesn't seem to be affected, so it's not really a big deal, but I just wonder why any error would come up at all when it doesn't even say what the error is.

If anyone has had this experience and figured it out, I'd be grateful to know. I realize this may not be a whole lot to go on, but I don't have a whole lot to go on since there's no specific error number for this error.

For reference sake, here is a picture of my desktop with the error referenced:

If I left any information out, I apologize, but I'm not really a technical person and don't really know what all is needed besides that which I posted. I will be happy to provide any further information needed if/when asked.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
