Error- A timeout has occured

When i try to log in after typing the correct user name and password (i've checked that they're correct), I get a messege saying: "Error- A timeout has occured". Does anyone know what the problem is? I've searched the forum and have found a couple posts but no answers.
 
So i tried hitting "repatch all" under the advanced tab in the sod patcher. Now when I hit "patch and run" it takes me to a different login screen (it looks older than the last one). Also the "Shards of Dalaya" rule page pops up (it didnt before). I typed in my registered username and password and i'm now getting a messege saying something like "invalid username/ password. I've tried everything in the FAQ but nothings working. Any suggestions?
 
Still getting this error...tried patching to live and hitting repatch all a lot but to no avail...any help?
 
I made sure my firewall was disabled, not using a router so no port changes had to be made, and I changed my eqhost.txt to exaclty how it appears in the official FAQ (top post in tech forum). After that I repatched a couple of times and I was in. I also have to leave EQW disabled.
