error 1001

Hi in sorry im begining to be a bother..

i had to change the server thing in the eqhost.txt file. and it worked.... i loged on for about 5 mins and got killed and it booted me out and now when im at the log in screen it gives me an error 1001: cannot connect to login sever pleas try again later.

i rechecked what i edited and everything is still right.


im running windows xp

Think its just taking a little time to get the server back up and running. I was getting that same error most of the evening; just now I was able to log in, but there were no servers on the list to choose from. :what:
 
Error 1001 means you're not establishing a connection to the logon server. You should try a few things:

First: Repatch all from the SoD patcher.
Second: Reboot your computer.
Third: Reboot your Router, Cable Modem, Firewall (if hardware)
Fourth: Delete your "files.txt" and "eqhosts.txt" and try re-patching all again.

Outside of those, the only other thing you can try that others have done to fix it, is re-install Everquest from scratch.
