Error 1001, cant connect to login server

ive tried everything to get this to work, and im dying to play again, please help me, ive reinstalled, repatched, put in the port forwards, restarted computer, restarted router, and nothing works, idk wat is going on... and also, when i load up eqw, after hitting start game, it loads the first screen with the SoD Eula rules and stuff, but then the next screens like hitting button to log in and the next screen, where u type in username and password are just normal EQ, wats goin on?

Did you type in your username & password? What happens when you do? Do you get to the server screen with just the SoD server listed?
 
No you don't have to repatch full. Like Kero said, what happens after you type your username / pw, yes it'll look just like regular. Do you see the SoD server?
 
I'm getting the exact same problem. I type in my username and password and it says that it's establishing a connection, then I get the error 1001 about 10 seconds later. I have no idea what's causing it and I did what that sticky thread told me to.
 
Please start a new thread with *all* steps you've taken.. "what that sticky thread told me to do" means nothing when there's 10 sticky threads.
 
I am having the same problem this started to happened just yesterday. any idea how to fix this?
