After realizing how involved the MQ is with this zone, all the way into Ikisith, I noticed that is was rather a bother to get to. At the tier of the MQ that you are able to access the Sanctuary, I think it would be a huge help if the actual Sanctuary Rune you receive at that point in time had a port clicky to the town there? Somewhere in the vicinity of the pool in the grassy area maybe, though that doesn't matter. I feel its a very underutilized town, it has all kinds of tradeskills and vendors, and the tome exchange fellow and I think it would be only fitting lorewise if advanced seekers could gate to their town, something which is much more involved in their lives then other towns. I think it would be great to have more people there.

I could even see it being a bit more hard to obtain, maybe when you turn in the Captain's Log to the Lich in Erimal that could change the Sanctuary Rune to the port clicky.

It was just a thought, I really like the town, and its very important. Its just a shame its such a pain to reach.

perhaps even adding a quest to create a gate clickie with the rune would be pretty cool. gather this, kill that, turn em in with rune and bam rune becomes wand of the sanctuary or some such.

i really like this basically empty town also and would definitely not ask fo a clicky just to make farming fr a lot easier it's really the town i like and the uh... the... the town... good town

ROCKSLIDE!!! The entrance to First Ruins collapses, and it is impossible to get through! Rumors from Erudin abound as a previously undiscovered underground passage opens up in the palace dungeons...

Oh wait I guess that is still a tad easy for access...maybe a secret passage in the Warrens?

I have never farmed FR.

People go to Erimal to open tomes. FR isn't super popular to farm/exp in because of the clearing. Cita/BQ are much easier/faster to get to and with better results.

I like the idea.

It wouldn't even need to be the rune (for those who destroyed them). It could be set up like the Newport gate neck - you have enough faction with ____ you hail someone and get your gate clickie.

I would be more partial to a quest like the Sadri neck

The wizard port-in is really close to Erimal and I mean not to be THAT GUY but does it make a lot of sense storywise to have items that port you into the stronghold of the seekers? No probably not.

On top of that I mean where will the gate neck line be drawn, eventually players will need a gate neck to bring them to their massive gateneck cache while they root through a mound of amulets looking for their port to the SE corner of western badlands.

I believe what you're saying is that the Seekers would be afraid of letting these items fall into the wrong hands, but given the nature of amulets (even if in possession of one you must have good faction to use it) I don't think it's a concern, lore-wise

as for caches of ammies well in the spirit of a Slaariel response you don't need to get every item!!!!!! there is a greenmist druid ring, how many people have an oggok clicky?

I don't see how proving yourself to the High Seekers, as in becoming one and obtaining the ability to get to your base of operations is any different then befriending the dragons or giants to the point of proving yourself worthy to access their city. The Seeker Village is much more involved in the long run anyways. Also, I dont think its very gamebreaking to be able to port to a handful of zones out of the total we have. And as more gate necks appear, Im sure more content will come with zones that wont have such gate neck accessibility. But at this time there is no reason to say that someone wont make a good argument on why there should be one for theoretical new content zone.

Storywise it could always be after they give you the high seeker aug, which clearly means they trust you an awful lot. Or perhaps added to the aug itself (is that even possible?).

Yeah augs can have clickies. See the Tarhansar aug for that, it has a 1 second cast time EB clicky on it.

Clickies on Augs would be unreliable because e.g. you could end up with an item with 2 clickies, and there is nothing set up to handle that. Not even sure if the client would know what to do there.

Yeah, that's why I think adding some kind of quest to get the gate clicky would make more sense. Could even involve gathering certain items from Ikisith.

This is the best post in the thread. I also feel there is already too many gate necks in the game.

This could be said about some of the other zones that have gate neck capability. But I see where you're both coming from.
