When I first started playing Winter's Roar, I noticed that I sometimes got an "EQGame.exe has encountered a problem" error every time I tried to join the server (before the loading screen appears). It was just a minor irritation that required trying again back then, but a few days later it seems to be all I get, until I can log into the server maybe one out of twenty tries.
I've tried using the patcher, running with eqgame.exe patchme, and using various versions of EQW including the latest and the one from the site. All give me the same error before unceremoniously kicking me out to the desktop. Does anyone have suggestions to get around this?
I've also used EQFIX.zip and I've got the default UI recommended on the site. I've compared my files with that of a friend who has no problems logging in and they seem to be an identical match.
