eqgame.exe crashing after sodpatcher.exe launches it

I've tried deleting files and re-downloading them (eqclient.ini, EQGfx_Dx8.dll, etc), I've tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling it, I've tried restarting my modem, router, and pc, and I've tried running the game in windowed mode (someone said it helped them out of a similar problem). I also tried searching for dbg.txt to post here, but I don't have it and there doesn't seem to be anything particularly revealing in the patch log. The worst part is my internet has been out for a day and I'm dieing to log in :(

Why have I been forsaken?

Sorry, I posted while tired. OS is XP professional. The install is from Titanium. My system is a single core 1.8GHZ AMD Athlon, 2 GB of memory, and my video card is an ATI X700. I've also changed the security settings in Internet Explorer.

edit: I just tried opening my ports and that didn't do a thing. So sad.

Nope. I'm reinstalling again.

edit: Still crashing after the second reinstall :(

Did you try deleting files.txt in the sod folder?

btw the debug file should be called dbg.txt in the primary game folder, not the sod folder.

I just tried deleting files.txt (sodfiles.txt?) and it didn't work. I still don't have a dbg.txt. I searched for it within my C drive and looked around in the eq directory.

edit: I've also given both eqgame.exe and the sod patch permission within my firewall.

install the .net frame work
delete / install new video card drivers
uninstall eq
clean registry
do a new install and lets see if that error is still there.
if it is its not going to magically go away with any more uninstall / install's so stop doing those.

Trying this now. I was hoping the reinstal would fix this mysterious problem.

edit: It's working now after I fixed the year on my computers clock. It was set to the year 2083 because I set my clock to 1983 so a demo I downloaded would work and when I restarted my computer the clock got changed to 2083. I'm glad I caught that before doing anything more than I've already done.

Also, thanks for everyone's help. It was just my dumb fault.
