Alright, so this started happening to me last night for some reason. I've been playing for awhile, and recnetly i've been getting a lot of client crashes, i'm not sure if this is related or not. Here's what happens.

I click on my shortcut to run the patcher, it works fine.

I click on "patch and run," it works fine

the EQW beta 2.35a box pops up, I press start EQ, in between this box, and the next box where the EULA usualy is, I get the error "Error opening packed file system (EQfeart15.pak)! and the game crashes. Unfortuantly, this happens every time, so i'm unable to play shards.

I am running windows 2000

The last thing I was doing was killing in Dragon Necropolis, and then suddenly I couldn't load my box in.

I tried restarting my computer, when I did it automatically went into some stage (sorry I was half asleep when it did this) in which it deleted a corruptd file 94992 (not 100% on the number.) I also tried to "repatch all" everything downloaded correctly, but the same error occured.


I think that's all the information I can provide, i'm begining to think I might need to reinstall, but if anyone knows anything, please let me know!

Forgot to mention this: currently i'm redownloading the SoD map pack, and i'm going to unzip it, in an attempt to fix this.

Also, I found out the file EQfeart15.pak is now completely missing.

EDIT: re downloaded the map pack, unizziped it, and no luck, the same error is occuring in the smae place as listed in the OP
