EQ Veteran, SoD Newbie!

I still get the EQLive newsletter and thought about getting back into it but it has been so long that I wouldn't know where to start. While using the almighty google machine to answer all the EQ questions I had I came across this site and decided to give it a try. It's like EQ with a new story line which is a great idea.

I started playing EQ in beta while I was in high school and played up to 2008. When I quit I ran 11 accounts (3 of which were bazaar whores). I won the first Mage Best of the Best game-wide tournament in 2006 I think it was. If any of you know Elementis (also aka Brodie) on the Povar server that was me. I knew a lot of the EQ of then but know little about the EQ of now.

I don't have much time to play to be honest but I do have some free time to play here and there. So hopefully you may see me around. I have already made a character named Tweeked!

I never played live myself, in fact this was my first fantasy mmo. So I found the SoD Wiki to be an invaluable resource.

You will find that certain rules here are more strictly enforced then live such as naming conventions. I wouldn't take offense its happened to most of us when we were new. And after a while, you appreciate the utter lack of more egregious examples.

Awww...well, look at it this way. Maybe it's a good thing you didn't have internet, at least you didn't suffer through the embarrassment of me beating you into the ground like the other guys did. lol

Yeah, at first I was going to make a necro named Necrophilia but I figured that could be against the naming. lol

So I went with one of my earlier character names from live: Tweeked

God your name sounds familiar - I always looked at that one guilds webpage from povar. I got second place in the server ranger BOTB.... because Vann used a fucking soulfire with lots of cheals! Pretty cheap/smart if you ask me.

You must be talking about Triton or Blades of Law on Povar? Although I believe Blades of Law didn't form till after the first BotB. I was in Triton for a while then once RL took over I left because I knew I was going to be that active. And now that I think about it the first BotB was in 2003? It's been so long I can't remember now...

And I think I remember Vann. Are you talking about Vannadorr on Povar?

I was looking at what was in demand. And I ended up dropping the necro and making a cleric named Guffin. I had a cleric with and epic 2 that I played too so I can play a cleric fairly well too. Just have to remember how to play him...it's been too long, lol.
