I played EQ from the early days of pre-kunark until shortly before legends of ykesha. I am originally from the Lanys T'vil server playing as Manduin Mistwalker but I believe I will play a cleric this time around. I was one of the original members of Inner Fire which branched into Visions and Riders of the Apocalypse. I have made my way through DAoC, Shadowbane, City of Heroes/Villians, WoW, Rift, and several short lived games in between. One thing remains constant; none of the others have the feel of the group that I enjoyed with EQ. I ended up playing on the Fippy progression server shortly before beginning Rift and was letdown by the asshats that had to burn through the best content in order to be the 1st to advance. This may be my last chance to truly enjoy a game.
That being said, I am looking forward to meeting some kindred souls on this server and I will be happy to donate to keep it alive. My first question is where is the average player in this game? on what expansion is the server currently playing at? Should I expect to be alone in the noobie zones and will I have to look forward to skilling up my sense heading 8).
The game is currently downloading and I should be ready to login within the next hour or two. Hope to see some friendly faces there.
