eq options LOOP?

ok, i've just installed everything as illustrated vertabim in the setup guide on here.

problem is, every time i try to run the game, it brings me to the video card selection deal, so i select my card (Radeon Mobility) and then it brings me to the luclin models options screen.

so i select which models to or not to include. then it brings me to the graphic option screen with the screen reso and the texture quality and compression and stuff. that screen.. then, i press ok, and it brings me back to selecting the card and doing it all over again. what the crap?? it's an endless loop and there is no main screen.

i'm running win98se with newest directX and meet all requirements.

Win98SE - YUCK!

But aside from that question for you are you clicking Next or just hitting Enter? I found that I had to hit Enter to move past those screens.

Im running Win xp and geting the same issue, im not sure what file is stuck or something, I have a fresh install of titanium ed and still can not get anything. Patching to live dident work as well as did selecting pach all files. Is there some DLL file that needs to be reinstalled?

SOLUTION:

If you get stuck in a select graphics card loop, the old version of the graphics card selecter program file got set to read only, to fix this, set your entire Everquest file to non read only and you can save the settings and get out of the loop
