EQ on mac?

Hi everyone, I am new on ********* and I've heard I could play with my mac. The problem is that I can't add the "sod" patch because it's an .exe

Is that someone can help a "mac player" ?

At least with Live, people who owned Macs had 2 choices:

1. Play Live: Macintosh Edition. (Yes, a completely separate server exists for Mac players. Last I heard, it is completely dead.)

2. Emulate a Windows environment on your Mac in order to play. (By whatever method you need to do that.) <I, however, am a Windows user and don't know of the specifics for any version of this method.>

For SoD, your only choice will be number 2. However, in all instances, this will require you to have a copy of Windows running on your Mac. (Thus, you will have to have a Windows license.)

You can run SoD on a mac using Wine or Crossover.

In any case, do ********* rock or not? Because I played a few time on WoW and DAoC (When I had a PC) but I've never tried EQ

It is nice to know that virtual copies aren't required anymore for a larger number of games. (The last I looked into Wine for a friend, it wasn't compatible with anything...so it was summarily dismissed as an option.)
