Hi I'm trying to get the files for the Expansions by going to EQ LIve Patch and doing what the tutorial says, however I can't get it to work correctly. When I run the EQ game it makes me login using my account which I don't have so I can't get to the eq patch page. Any help would be appreciated because when I play EQ with the SOD Patcher it only loads original EQ and non of the expansion content is included?

Yeah $0ny has recently cracked down on people being able to patch up without actually having active accounts so if you do not have an install that has been patched up to GoD you are SoL.
Only thing to do now is go out and buy a copy of one of the bundled packs (I hear with Titanium you dont have to patch live becaues all the files you need are included I think)

Did you just recently buy that? If so you would have an active account. But yeah I think I also read somewhere that both Anniversary and Titanium bundles work without patching to live.
So you installed the patcher files in your install folder, you have .Net installed from Microsoft and when you launch the patch you direct it to where the game is installed?

So far I've installed the game, I got from Direct2Drive and yes I just bought it yesterday. I copied the maps folder, and I'm about to run the SOD Patcher and directed it to the EQ Folder. I have a PatchFiles.zip that I haven't touched yet I'm not sure what that does.
However, My firend just also bought it and got his first so when he loads through it only loads original EQ content. even though it says that he has all the expansions logged on his account. which is why i'm confused.

PatchFiles.zip is for a manual download of the files. So just to make it clear:
You have the SoD patcher installed
You have .Net installed
You have run the SoD patcher and directed it to the install folder
The SoD patcher loads without errors and downloads a bunch of files

I guess I do not understand what you mean by the original game? You mean the live game and not SoD? Are you sure you are running the SoD patcher??
Also make sure your eqhost file reads as such

Is there any chance of getting a formal response from the dev's on or about the Live Patcher issue? No way to patch now without an active account. I started with Kunark, Dont think I'm going to go out an buy another copy of EQ after having over $300 invested in expansions just to play this. Currently suffering the a Client Crash issue which is just plain random and my standard wipe an reload is no longer an option.

You can use an account that has played any the Company game. It doesnt have to be currently active, Im patching with an really old account, hasnt been paid for in almost 4 years.
Edit: Btw, the patch is friggin Huge!! Ive got a9 hour download, and havnt been able to select the expansions to patch, so im assuming its patching them all. Guess Ill find out and report back with my results.

Yes, they took away the option to choose what you patch with the new launchpad.
I repatched mine the other day after several months of not patching, took me over 3 hours. Live folder = 5.5gig, SoD (my old patched one that I run here) is 5.2gig.

All expansions. My druid is still active, a guildy plays her, mainly as a port/heal bot. I have neither the time nor the inclination to be in a top level raiding guild anymore. I think I'm up to 7 Veteran AA's now.
