EQ EMU

Plenty, though none as good as SoD, obviously. The normal EQEmu servers generally have a lot more lag, lower population, disconnections and if possible jerkier GMs.
 
Jerk GMs? Last night there was a GM playing a test necro near us and having him there was a hoot! A gnoll cast odd debuffs on us, a bridge was protected by a giant piranha wizard and it's familiar, and he stealth changed 2 of our races. It was a lot of fun and I thanked him for it after he left. Also while I was on someone started spamming the /ooc channel with FROOOAAAAK and was banned within seconds. If all of your GMs are like these then theis world must be a fun place to live in indeed!
 
Take a look at Edge of Insanity. They're much younger than SoD and far less popular. But it takes better advantage of the client's abilities (since the server version is more recent). The staff is nice and helpful.
